Diet Sodas, do they help or hurt weight loss efforts

According to this article, they hurt weight loss efforts. I gave up artificial sweeteners last year, and simply drink water or sugar free fruit juice sweetened with stevia.

  • iCloud upgraded to be compatible with iOS7. Please note io7 and io6 devices can not sync together.
  • A new Data Maintenance section under Settings to allow you to remove old data, de-duplicate your data, and backup your data.

iCloud Improvements

I’m currently testing some changes I made to deal with iCloud’s shortcomings in apps that have a database. It’s only been a few days but so far i have not seen the dreaded ‘iCloud Sync Problem’ pop up any more. I did notice some minor things, such as the time period getting ‘lost’ on an entry after a sync, but a quick local rebuild of the iCloud data fixed it.

The update will require that you do turn off iCloud on all devices, and that the iCloud data is deleted. Once the update is done, you can turn back on iCloud.

As soon as the emergency release awaiting approval right now is released (I broke the app on older devices not running 6.1), expect another update to enhance iCloud usage.

More thoughts on iCloud

Since a few people, including me have had problems with iCloud syncing, I’m thinking of moving to a third party solution. The one I found will cost me less than $50 per month, which is rather small amount, so I’ll offer it for free.

I’m testing on iOS7 now to see if anything has been improved from Apple’s side, and if not I’ll switch over to the third party service.

Release 3.1 and iCloud

Release 3.1 should fix the issues folks were having starting the app after 3.0. Also a few people noticed in 3.0 I also broke adding group items. That should also be fixed.

If any one is still having issues please email I’ll be happy to fix right away.

Now on to iCloud. What can I say but *sigh*. I’m thinking of removing the feature due to the issues people have been having. I myself lost 3 weeks worth of data yesterday. I’m going to do some testing with iOS7 to see if it is improved and will let you know.
