Why Facebook and Twitter integration?

Version 1.2 of Track It! includes Facebook integration, and 1.3 includes Twitter integration. So why have integration at all?

One thing that helped me the most to stay on track, is, that while going to Weight Watchers meetings, I was held accountable, meaning every week someone was gong to be weighing me, and recording my weight.

For me, posting to my wall, or tweeting if a I had a good or bad week works the same way. Now my friends can see how I’m doing and offer encouragement. Let’s face it, losing weight is hard. We need all the support we can get!

So what does it mean if you allow the app to access your Facebook or Twitter account? Well, it means when you weigh yourself and record it, you have the option of posting to your wall, or tweeting out, in general terms, how you did. Never is your actual weight revealed, nor how much you lost/gained revealed. The app does not look at any of your private information in Facebook or Twitter, in fact your username/password are never revealed to or stored by the app.

Your privacy is respected at all times.

I hope you’ll use these new features as a tool to help you be more successful.

Version 1.2 should be available this week, and 1.3 will be submitted as soon as 1.2 hits the app store.
